An Expansion That Started with a Trusted Relationship and Local Connections
When Dr. Kevin Haney started his private practice in 2012, specializing in treatment for veins, his goal was to create a better, more streamlined experience for his patients. “I love it when I do a procedure on a patient, and I have them back in their car before their procedure time,” says Dr. Haney. “We try to be as efficient as we can to get them back to their life.”
However, before being able to open his own practice, he knew he needed some business guidance. “My skillset is not in running a business,” he says. “I needed a financial advisor.”
Dr. Haney's morning routine includes going to the gym. He's done so most days for 20 years. In 2010, that’s where he met the president of the local INTRUST Bank. “He would talk about banking, his goals, his strategies,” recalls Dr. Haney, “and I would talk about my dreams of starting my own practice. He was a great source of advice in that arena.”

“For many mornings, we would discuss business things,” Dr. Haney continues. “He was able to brainstorm with me – what all I needed to do prior to launching it. ‘Okay, we need to create an LLC, we need to get the financing lined up and get a bank account lined up and, you know, get a payroll company.’” He even helped with real estate connections, too.
When it came time to finding a location for his practice, Dr. Haney was encountering some major roadblocks. “I was getting nowhere trying to deal through the front door of the real estate business.” So he went to his new financial partner at INTRUST Bank for help. “He connected me with some really VIP folks, and, through one single lunch, we were able to score our lots and progress on to a bigger building and bigger goals.
“I never knew there were banks that cater to businesses. That is so much more efficient,” he says. “Having a relationship with a business-focused bank is extremely important in terms of just streamlining the process. They know our needs. I could email any of them right now, and I'd have whatever my issues are solved by the end of the day.” He likes to boil it down to this: “I would say it's incredibly efficient, professional banking with a personal touch.”

For more than 10 years now, Dr. Haney has treated more than 20,000 patients, and his practice continues to grow. In 2015, he added a med-spa division called Renew Aesthetics, and, in 2019, he added a men’s clinic division called The Edge. And three years ago, Dr. Christopher Stout, the area's first board certified endovascular surgeon, joined the team, allowing them to expand their specialized services even further. “As we've grown, we've added more service lines,” says Dr. Haney, “trying to keep the same mission: Give people a way better health care experience than they could find anywhere else.”
The primary limiting factor Dr. Haney faces these days is space. “Plans are to build an ambulatory surgical center contiguous with this building, and INRUST is involved in that.” The expansion is just one more way for Dr. Haney to create the best experience possible. “I want our clinic to be more of a concierge-level care where you're the most important thing.”
As his services and facilities continue to grow, so does his passion for tending to his patients. “I’m very proud of what we've accomplished,” Dr. Haney says. “I do love helping people and taking away people's pain. It's extremely rewarding.”

50 years ago, when the Oklahoma Indian Clinic opened its doors, it was a single building with volunteer nurses and doctors. Today, the nonprofit has a campus that serves 22,000 American Indians, and it’s still growing.
Flinthills began as most non-profits begin: to fulfill a need. As the demand for services increased, so did the need for space. So they sought after assistance in finding and financing new facilities, as well as managing overhead.
