Are you ready to switch your checking account to INTRUST?
Changing banks the INTRUST way is easy. With our handy SwitchKit, you can make the
switch in just 5 simple steps:
- Open your new INTRUST checking
account. Visit any INTRUST Bank location
to open your account today, or begin your application
online. You can start using your new account as soon as your funds have
cleared.
- Stop using your old account. Once your funds
have cleared and you are using your INTRUST account, stop using your old account.
- Change all your direct deposits. Ask your
boss or HR department at work what they need to switch your direct deposit to your
INTRUST account. In most cases, it’s your new bank account and routing numbers,
deposit information and your authorization.
- Change all your automatic payments. If you
have funds automatically pulled from your old checking account to pay bills or make
payments you will need to let those companies know about your account change. Use
our Automatic Payment Change Form
to help you with this step. Here’s a checklist of automatic payments you might need
to switch over or add to your new INTRUST checking account:
- Gas and electricity
- Water and sewer
- Cable
- Home phone
- Cell phone
- Insurance (home, auto, other)
- Internet Service Provider
- Memberships (gym, clubs, other)
- Automatic transfers to saving or investment accounts
- Loan payments (Auto, mortgage, other)
- Close the account at your old bank. Notify
your old bank that you would like to close your account by using our
Account Closure Form. Be sure that all items have cleared and that you have
cancelled all automatic withdrawals and payments. Destroy your old checkbook and
debit card.
That’s it. Just 5 easy steps and you’re ready to enjoy the convenience of your new
INTRUST checking account!
